When disasters strike, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Lexington stands ready to help. Whether it’s floods, tornadoes, or other disasters, our staff responds with compassion and commitment. As an active participant in Kentucky’s Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, Catholic Charities collaborates with multiple organizations in a coordinated response to provide delivery of services to impacted communities effectively. We also rely on local connections with our parishes who offer invaluable input on reaching those impacted in their respective communities. Our services after a disaster may assist with temporary shelter, supplies for home repairs, replacement of items lost, rent or utility assistance, counseling and emotional support, or referrals to other organizations. All services provided are on a case-by-case basis dependent on household needs and resources available.
